An interview with Bol TV, Lahore, where I explain the process from the inception of idea, to the 9-day rehearsal, to the composition, to our festival performance. My idea to bring together 18 musicians from Punjab & Gilgit-Baltistan provinces, to study the various folk forms of music traditions from both regions, and to create harmony & new experimental sounds, led to this event. I directed my ensemble for 9 days, which helped us create 6 songs, 5 of which I later took into studio production. The resultant 5-song E.P. is titled ‘Pari Sufna’, and shall soon be available online!
